2018 marks the 11th anniversary of the Liveable Cities Conference!

This year the Conference will be held from the 16 – 17 July at Pullman Melbourne on the Park in Victoria and will explore the liveability of our metropolitan and regional urban centres that result in sustainable economic, social and environmental success.

Melbourne celebrated a 7th consecutive victory in 2017 as the most ‘liveable’ city in the world. The combination of five categories including stability, healthcare, culture/ environment, education and infrastructure (Economist Intelligence Unit 2017) helps to determine…

  • What is a liveable city?
  • What are the factors that set apart liveable cities?
  • Is the meaning of a liveable city changing?

The Conference Committee are seeking individuals who are interested in connecting with like-minded colleagues and assist with expert recommendations and suggestions from recent or updated research, projects or programs.

Topics for the 2018 Liveable Cities Conference fall under the following categories:

  • Greening the City
  • Redesigning the City
  • Person centred liveability
