Jessica Stewart is Sustainability Manager for Ginninderry. Ginninderry is Australia’s only cross-border master-planned community – extending from ACT into NSW and ultimately home for 30,000 residents.
Jessica has a passion for building strong, resilient communities. Through education and energy efficiency, Jess aims to raise the bar for new developments by ensuring that residents maximise their assets, reduce their running costs and design smarter homes.
Jessica has been awarded with the NAWIC ACT Emerging Leader Award and was named the Property Council of Australia’s ACT Future Leader of the Year in 2017.

Naomi works as a Senior Development Manager in the Operations Division of DevelopmentWA, with more than 25 years of experience in the property and construction industry, as a designer, conservation architect, consultant and development manager.
Naomi holds a Bachelor of Architecture with post-graduate qualifications from the International Centre for Conservation Rome. Prior to joining DevelopmentWA, Naomi consulted widely across both the government and private sector in her role as Principal of Naomi Lawrance Architecture and Heritage.

Chief Executive, Tuhoe Te Uru Taumatua, Ngai Tuhoe's Tribal Authority
Kirsti Luke is Chief Executive of Tūhoe Te Uru Taumatua, Ngāi Tūhoe’s Tribal Authority. She holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB), is extremely knowledgeable about the tribe’s treaty claims, and was involved in the establishment of Te Uru Taumatua. Her goal is to build the organization and the tribe’s economy and improve descendants’ quality of life. Her role includes recruiting management staff, building relationships with stakeholders and government agencies, developing policies to improve or coordinate options for housing, health and employment for Tūhoe and providing business recommendations to build up the tribe’s economy.
Senior Research Scientist, CSIRO Land And Water
Tim leads research at CSIRO on scenarios of population growth, resource use, and environmental impacts from regional to international scales. He takes an integrative approach to analysis at the city level: urban metabolism, urban resilience, industrial ecology, climate adaptation, low-carbon cities, and assessing urban strategy. Most recently, he co-authored the UN International Resource Panel's report on The Weight of Cities: Resource Requirements of Future Urbanization. He leads the Cities and Infrastructure work of CSIRO’s Australian National Outlook projects and previous work on climate impacts and adaptation was widely cited in the Human Settlements, and Australasian chapters of the IPCC 5th Assessment. He was a contributing author to the Urban Chapter of the Global Energy Assessment and has advised UN Environment on resource efficiency in the Asia-Pacific region.

ARC Chief Investigator, School of Indigenous Studies, The University of Western Australia
Professor Len Collard is with the School of Indigenous Studies at the University of Western Australia. Len has a background in literature and communications and his research interests are in the area of Aboriginal Studies, including Nyungar interpretive histories and Nyungar theoretical and practical research models. Len has conducted research funded by the Australian Research Council, the National Trust of Western Australia, the Western Australian Catholic Schools and the Swan River Trust and many other organisations. Professor Collard's research has allowed the broadening of the understanding of the many unique characteristics of Australia's Aboriginal people and has contributed enormously to improving the appreciation of Aboriginal culture and heritage of the Southwest of Australia. Len’s ground-breaking theoretical work has put Nyungar cultural research on the local, national and international stages. Finally Len is a Whadjuk Nyungar elder and who is a respected Traditional Owner of the Perth Metropolitan area and surrounding lands, rivers, swamps ocean and it's culture.
Urban Mobility Manager, New Zealand Transport Agency
Kathryn King manages the Urban Mobility Programme at Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, where she co-author of the Keeping Cities Moving plan and the lead for the Innovating Streets for People programme. She joined the Agency following four years with Auckland Transport where she transformed the cycling programme and oversaw the city's largest ever investment in cycling.
Kathryn led the speed management programme, that has delivered survivable speeds across 700km of streets in Auckland. Kathryn spent over ten years in London, managing walking, cycling and safety projects, over eight of them with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Leanne is an advocate of intentional engagement and adaptive leadership. Her work has been recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) and IAP2, and has been described as ‘transformative’.
Architect, Research Principal, Institute for Sustainable Futures, University of Technology, Sydney
Kerryn Wilmot is a highly experienced architect with particular expertise in sustainability in the built environment. Kerryn co-leads the Cities and Buildings research area at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at UTS and supports the coordinator of the Sustainable Digital Cities Network in investigating the impact of new ways of working on the urban environment.
Prior to joining ISF, Kerryn had a 30-year career as a consultant architect. Formerly an Associate at Spowers, Kerryn was the project leader for the industry-leading 60L Green Building in Carlton, Victoria that won a Banksia Award and influenced today’s commercial buildings and sustainable development tools. When at Williams Boag Architects, Kerryn was the Accredited Green Star Professional for the 5-star green Star Gungahlin College campus in ACT.
She has been a guest lecturer at several universities and tutored in Sustainable Buildings and Environmental Building Services. Kerryn was an active member of the Public Transport Users Association, lobbying for improved public transport in Victoria, in recognition of the need to for good sustainable transport options for liveable urban environments. She represented PTUA on the Metropolitan Transport Forum and on the Minister for Transport’s Station Users Panel.
Designer, Strategist and Leadership Coach, Innate Ecology
Suzette Jackson, is the Designer, Strategist and Leadership Coach at Innate Ecology, operating the One Planet Living international framework and advisory services in the region. She is passionate about sustainable living, particularly in addressing the regeneration of cities to provide a quality of life within the resource and productive capacity of our planet.
Suzette is an experienced sustainability consultant, facilitator, designer and strategist with expertise in cities, communities and urban activation. Her work includes food system research, feasibility studies, precinct and organisational strategies. Previous leadership roles include work with Innate Ecology, Living Future Institute Australia, University of Melbourne, Deakin University and Hassell. Suzette is engaged in her local community as a community radio host and regional farmers market coordinator.

Andrew is the co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of ASX listed company Hazer Group Ltd, and invented the Hazer process as part of his Ph.D. studies. Andrew has over 4 years of corporate executive experience and over 10 years of technical engineering experience in R&D, advisory and resource development roles. Andrew is passionate about disruptive innovation and sustainability.
Andrew holds a Philosophy Doctorate Degree (Engineering), Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (Management) from the University of Western Australia, and a Graduate Certificate (Research Commercialisation) from the Queensland University of Technology. He is a winner of the WA Business News “40 under 40” award, and City of Perth Strategic Alliance Award in 2019.

Margie Tannock is a partner of a global law firm, specialising in strategic urban planning, environmental law and policy reform, particularly on the issues affecting community amenity. She is a member of the State Design Review Panel (WA).
Margie has a particular interest in the impacts of autonomous vehicles in Australia’s urban environments, including the issues of data privacy, mobility as a service and the development of digital trust. She has co-authored a number of submissions to the National Transport Commission on the subject of autonomous vehicles, and presented at many conferences around Australia on the subject.
Planning Programme Postgraduate Coordinator, Resource and Environmental Planning Programme, School of People, Environment & Planning, Massey University
Dr Caroline Miller is a former planning practitioner and now Associate Professor in the Planning Programme in the School of People, Environment and Planning at Massey University, Palmerston North. She is a Fellow of the NZPI and served as a NZPI Board member for 7 years. Her research interests are primarily focused on the development of town planning and the planning profession in New Zealand and the practice of planning under the RMA.. She has published widely through journals and book chapters. She has also produced books on the history of the NZPI, The Unsung Profession, on New Zealand’s experience of instituting sustainability, Implementing Sustainability: The New Zealand Experience and a biography of New Zealand’s first Director of Town Planning, Reginald Hammond. In 2017 she was the co-editor and contributor to Planning Practice in New Zealand, which won the NZPI’s John Mawson Award of Merit in 2018.
Principal, Warren + Mahoney Architects
Rod joined Warren + Mahoney in 2020 from Panuku Development Auckland, where he held the role of Director, Design + Place. These remain the projects he’s most proud of today. Rod has worked across executive leadership roles in both the private and public sectors, gaining political experience working at Board and council executive governance levels.
In 2017 he was awarded a Property Council New Zealand Auckland Property People Award for his work and thought-leadership in driving urban design outcomes for Wynyard Quarter. It’s this leadership, energy and drive, and his ability to articulate a vision of the future that clients and stakeholders working with him most appreciate, and will be central to his work leading Warren + Mahoney’s Early-Stage Strategy Team.
